Business Analyst

Venatu Consulting are currently working in partnership with our client in recruiting for a Business Analyst. As part of the UK based IT team, working as a ‘hands-on’ Business Analyst, converting business requirements into system solutions. Primarily responsible for the support and development of the UK business applications ensuring the maximum benefit is gained from business systems investments.

  • To participate and lead IT projects in line with corporate standards
  • To provide the ‘cohesive link’ between IT, senior management, key customers and suppliers
  • To co-ordinate and direct business partners whilst meeting key objectives and project deliverables
  • Provide the necessary technical expertise relating to emerging technologies to ensure value-adding solutions are delivered
  • Carry out analysis of business requirements and advise on the most effective design and end-solution using appropriate tools
  • Provide presentations, training and support to ensure the maximum benefit is gained from IT investments
  • Provide support to the business regarding business systems changes and process modifications
  • To ensure maximum benefit and return is delivered from the Business Systems team through effective prioritisation, co-ordination and direction
  • Adherence to International standard requirements in relation to Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (including energy)
  • Recommendation and implementation of business system solutions that differentiate the business from the competition
  • Ongoing support of delivered business systems
  • Manage and adhere to project deadlines and budgets
  • Demonstrable benefits through the effective deployment of IT


  • A minimum of three years’ experience, preferably someone who has experienced one full lifecycle implementation covering design, development, testing and support of the following suite of SAP modules and/or core technologies: Primarily SAP MM, with good understanding of SD, PP, WM.
  • Experience in BW/Business Objects, FICO, ABAP and CA would be advantageous.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in driving the requirements process for systems projects across the full project life cycle. Demonstrable experience of managing such projects and stakeholders expectations would be advantageous.
  • To be self-motivated and proactive with the ability to interact effectively with senior business users and third-party technical architects
  • To maintain a high level of credibility within the business user community at all levels, through demonstrating good understanding of IT systems through effective communication
  • To maintain understanding and knowledge of relevant business processes and technologies
  • Challenge business requirements to ensure cohesion and consistency
  • Grow and maintain business systems knowledge to ‘advanced’ level in appropriate technologies
  • Demonstrable role-model behaviour with other team members
  • Actively adopt and maintain a ‘One Team’ culture across the UK based IT team
