Business Development Manager

Venatu Recruitment Group are working in partnership with our client in recruiting for a Business Development and Sales role to cover Europe and UK. The successful professional will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales, marketing and business development growth within the business.

RESPONSIBILITY

  • Business Development & Management: working closely with the Management (P&L) team in developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets
  • Building and maintaining a sales pipeline of opportunities with headroom to beat the annual revenue budget
  • Identifying, developing, building, and managing long–term relationships with strategic clients
  • Responsibility for the establishment of both annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with the Company’s business plan
  • Ensuring the sales pipeline feeds into business unit revenue forecasts and annual budgets
  • Liaising with a network of Service, Parts and Business Development Managers to coordinate sales efforts across business units to ensure value is maximised at group level
  • Managing commercial sales information flow across the business
  • Initiating and completing proposals, presentations, terms and conditions, negotiations and sales execution
  • Supporting Service and Parts teams to define the product/service offering roadmap in the long, mid and short term
  • Identifying and evaluating new markets for existing services/products and new partnership opportunities to add value
  • Working with senior Managers in creating business cases for new opportunities
  • Ensuring a portfolio of services & products to promote in each country
  • Providing input in the annual marketing budget process ensuring all positioning requirements are accommodated

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Extensive knowledge of the oil & gas service/contracting industry
  • Extensive experience building sales relationships with senior level executives in oil & gas operating; drilling, marine, ports and mining companies
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and commercial skills
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and lead, use initiative, drive and build enthusiasm
  • Excellent people, budgeting, communication, planning, report writing and organisational skills
  • Good business sense and the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Team player: works co–operatively and collaboratively with colleagues and peers across the organisation
  • Excellent Partnership development (including negotiation) capabilities
  • Self–motivated with ability to work in a dynamic and fast changing environment
  • Strong operational mindset: decisive, with a “get it done” and “whatever it takes” mentality
  • Strong analytical and problem–solving skills
  • The position will require approximately 50% of time to be spent travelling
