An industry leader in the manufacture and service of lifting equipment within the marine and oil & gas industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Group CFO and leading a small dedicated finance team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the production and delivery of financial information for an ambitious subsidiary company within a successful group. This will include providing forecasts and meeting statutory requirements, as well as working on the continued development of the company’s financial systems, whilst being a valuable part of the management team driven to achieve even greater success.

CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS

  • Qualified accountant
  • Post qualification experience in a commercial organisation or accounting firm
  • Ability to manage people effectively and work as part of a team
  • Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Quickbooks or Sage
  • A proven multi-tasker who is organised, efficient and productive as well as being accurate and having great attention to detail
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and research problems
  • Confident and professional in dealing with both external and internal parties
  • You will be a confident and capable individual who thrives when asked to step up and take the lead, sometimes in challenging situations
  • You’re as comfortable working with people as you are with spreadsheets and work with a collaborative approach
  • Highly organised and used to working to tight deadlines in a project environment
  • Resilient with excellent communication skills and demonstrable attention to detail
  • Experience of having operated at a similar level of responsibility, providing technical accounting and financial information along with guiding and supporting strategic and tactical decision making
  • Management and statutory accounting experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; the ability to set up and maintain supporting financial systems
