Payroll Administrator

Venatu Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a leading manufacturer based in Doncaster to recruit a Payroll Administrator. Delivering an efficient and professional payroll service to the business, the successful applicant will ensure that all employees are paid on time and correctly, in line with Company Policies whilst meeting legislative, statutory and financial requirements.

THE ROLE

  • Providing support across the payroll function, delivering on time accurate payments to all employees based in the UK
  • Satisfying the requirements of the business internal and external stakeholders, statutory and organisational
  • Supporting the administration of payments including salary changes, payment of overtime and numerous local allowances
  • Ensuring duty of care with all HR information, following the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of the Payroll, TMS & HR systems
  • Creating a procedure to identify and correct any process errors
  • Complying with latest relevant legislation, statutory filing deadlines and internal reporting requirements
  • Ensuring payments are made in line with local agreements
  • Reviewing payments against previous values
  • Ensuring payroll procedures are accurately recorded and updated

THE PERSON

  • Must be Degree educated or equivalent in a related subject
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to monitor service levels to ensure stakeholder satisfaction
  • Comfortable with working in a fast paced environment

DESIRABLE

  • Professional Membership of CIPP
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of UK payroll legislation and payroll processes
  • Knowledge in preparation of on line payments via BACS and UK banking processes
  • Knowledge of iTrent HR/Payroll System
  • Knowledge of Success Factors/SAP Systems
  • Knowledge of Time and Attendance Systems
  • Previous experience of Human Resource systems
  • 5 Years payroll experience
  • Use of Bottom line Technologies BACS system
  • The successful Payroll Administrator will work 37.5 hours per week and will also be given an optional start time of 8.30am or 9.00am.
