Payroll Clerk

Venatu Finance are working with a well-respected client based in Leeds to help them in sourcing a Payroll Clerk.

  • Location: Leeds
  • Salary: £17,000 - £20,000pa
  • Contract Type: Permanent

THE ROLE

  • An understanding of the basics of payroll & benefits procedures
  • Inputting tax and bank details
  • Inputting and reviewing staff, students and visitor expenses using SAP
  • Setting up and paying casual employees
  • Processing Statutory leave and pay
  • Answering staff queries about timesheets or pay slips
  • Issuing P45’s and other tax forms
  • Other administration duties to ensure the smooth running of the payroll department

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Will take responsibility as an individual for own performance, personal learning and development
  • Some knowledge and experience of Payroll, benefits and expenses
  • Competent in Microsoft Office: Excel and Word
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, work to strict deadlines and under pressure
  • Will flexibly and happily work as part of a team as well as individually
  • Good communication skills: written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Payroll systems and SAP (desirable)
