Regional Sales Manager - Waste Management

Venatu Consulting are currently working in partnership with our client in recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager.

  • 35K – 37K + Car
  • The purpose of this role is to manage the sales of the Company’s services within the designated territory and/or accounts and to provide general management to the regional sales team.
  • To carry out the role whilst ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Ensuring that high levels of productivity, attendance and customer satisfaction are maintained at all times.


  • To manage the regional sales team to ensure all agreed targets and objectives are achieved.
  • Control the raw material supply chain to ensure compliance with legal requirements and to maintain the appropriate revenue and quality objectives.
  • Maintain contact with existing customers, monitor trading levels and maximise opportunities for additional business.
  • Prepare quotes in line with the agreed pricing strategy and re-negotiate terms where appropriate.
  • Gather and maintain up-to-date market intelligence within the local area, monitor competitor activity (services and prices), and communicate where necessary.


  • Develop new business for the services.
  • Manage sales of the services to dedicated accounts within agreed sectors.
  • Provide supply chain management for suppliers and sites within area.
  • Liaise with operations teams to ensure efficient, cost effective operations.
  • Monitor service level agreements and audit company services versus agreed KPI’s and financial targets.
  • Develop and promote the company’s activities across the industry.
  • Represent the business at trade events and seminars.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers.

  • Providing high standards of quality whilst promoting, building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
  • Identifying training needs relevant to the job and participating in any training and development as required.

  • Good formal education.
  • Previous sales experience within a B2B environment.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills - must be proficient with MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Be able to work well under pressure.
  • Be innovative and forward thinking.
  • Be flexible, practical and hard working.
  • Be able to self-motivate and motivate others.
  • Decision making.
  • Be able to make decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to be flexible.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Clean Driving Licence.
  • Ability to travel when required.
