The Role of a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer
As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting our client's design projects from concept to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate with strong SolidWorks skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for mechanical design. You’ll gain hands-on experience, working on real projects that drive efficiency and innovation across multiple sectors.
Responsibilities of a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer
- Utilise SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
- Work closely with senior engineers to develop design solutions that meet client requirements.
- Assist in the prototyping and testing phases to ensure functionality and quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes and updates in line with company standards.
- CWork collaboratively with manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management teams to optimise designs for production.
Requirements of a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in SolidWorks; additional experience with other CAD software is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail in technical drawings and design specifications.
- Ability to analyse complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Eagerness to learn and proactively seek new challenges.
