Generator Service Engineer
£32,000 to £42,000 per annum + overtime pay + door-to-door paid as overtime
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

We are recruiting a Generator Engineer for our client, covering North London, including Hertfordshire, Essex, and occasionally Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving business within the energy efficiency sector.
The role involves planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, averaging 2 to 3 call-outs per day, with a 3-week schedule provided by the Scheduling team. There is no on-call rota; it is your choice whether to take on out-of-hours jobs.
Occasional working away may be required.

What will the Generator Engineer be doing?
- PPM, remedial and reactive maintenance, scheduled 3 weeks in advance
- Servicing a range of generators from 10kVA to 2MVA
- Call-outs occasionally required, with £250 call-out bonus + time-and-a-half pay if attended
- Attending 2 to 3 call-outs per day
What are we looking for in the Generator Engineer?
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience as a generator service engineer or similar
- Strong electrical engineering knowledge of LV power generation and distribution
- Practical knowledge of ComAp/Deep Sea systems
- IT literacy
- Gas Safe qualification (desirable)
- IEE 18th Edition (desirable)
- CSCS card (desirable)
