Purchasing Assistant

Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:30
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 pa
Join our client's dynamic team, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Purchasing Manager by managing data, operating multiple computer systems, and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders. This position requires strong organisational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on multiple computer systems to complete a wide range of tasks, including data input.
- Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and inventory, ensuring data is easily accessible.
- Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods
- Provide general administrative support to the purchasing department
Key Competencies:
- You will be an experienced administrator who has worked within a busy office environment
- Strong negotiation skills and an ability to build productive relationships with suppliers
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication, organisational and time management skills.
- You will be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)
