Engineering Equipment & Logistics Controller
Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum

We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for an Equipment & Logistics Controller to join a growing engineering business, with a primary focus on improving export efficiencies in the distribution of equipment. This is a great role for someone with experience in logistics, tooling control, and has shipped goods globally who is looking to advance their career in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate transport planning and work with freight partners to ensure the efficient movement of goods nationally and internationally.
- Oversee logistics for heavy load and container movements, managing transport and loading requirements.
- Collaborate with project and service teams to ensure all tooling requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation for all equipment and tooling, ensuring everything is up to date.
- Manage the calibration and certification of equipment in line with company policies and industry standards.
- Prepare and administer essential export and import documentation, including commercial invoices, delivery notes, Dangerous Goods Notes, Air-Way Bills, and Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Identify and plan for the procurement of necessary equipment and tooling.
- Ensure the secure packing of tool boxes and containers for safe transport.
- Follow Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of business systems, identifying areas for operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Controller to support daily logistics and warehouse operations.
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in logistics, equipment and tooling control.
- Familiarity with international trade, import/export documentation, and Dangerous Goods Notes (DGN).
- A solid understanding of engineering supplies and equipment (e.g., hand tools, hydraulic jacks, lifting equipment).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organised in a busy environment.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the flexibility to adapt to new challenges.
