Hire Desk Controller
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Location: Leeds
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of hire equipment logistics? We're looking for a proactive and organised Hire Desk Controller to join our dynamic team and help us maintain our high standards of service.
About the Role:
As a Hire Desk Controller, you will play a vital role in managing customer hire enquiries, processing orders, coordinating equipment availability, and overseeing timely delivery and collection. You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, so a professional yet friendly approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming customer enquiries, offering advice on the best equipment for their needs.
- Process and confirm hire orders with accuracy and efficiency.
- Work closely with the operations team to schedule deliveries and collections, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Maintain detailed records of hires, including stock levels and equipment status.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure prompt and reliable service.
- Address customer queries, resolve any issues or complaints, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Assist with administrative duties such as invoicing and stock control.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a hire desk or customer service role is an advantage, but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of hire operations and equipment is beneficial.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hire desk software (preferred).
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a keen eye for detail.
