System Accountant
£55,000 - £75,000 based on experience

The System Accountant will play a leading role within the finance team responsible for the implementation and deployment of finance and integrated systems, primarily Oracle NetSuite. This will include identifying business requirements, process and scenario design, testing training and leading work streams. The role is office based with travel to other sites each week.
Key responsibilities for the role will include
- Manage the Finance system structures, work streams, users and integration into associated business systems.Being a key partner to the IT/technology team on upgrades, rollouts and testing.
- Owning master data controls ensuring system compliance where necessary.
- Identify and escalate possible risk areas and enhance controls where necessary.
- Provide training and support, particularly to non-finance teams.
- Deliver the day-to-day operation and maintenance of finance systems
- Supporting the processing and control of month end activities.
- Assist in defining the new processes and evolve finance ways of working whilst keeping up to date on industry best practices.
- Partner with the BI analytics team and lead on the maintenance of master data and rollout of the agreed Data Governance requirements across the systems user base.
- Support the implementation of new systems within Finance or upgrades to existing systems.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, customisations, processes, and training materials for future reference and knowledge sharing
Experience required/desired
- Extensive experience/knowledge of Oracle NetSuite
- Strong knowledge and experience of working with Power BI / Tableau
- Professional finance qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
- A solid understanding of best practice for finance systems structure.
- An understanding of financial reporting and compliance.
- Ambitious and driven as it is fast paced.
- Take initiative and the ability to work independently
- Team player with pronounced numerical affinity and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication
