As a Production Planner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient planning and scheduling of their manufacturing processes. You will work closely with various departments, including production, procurement, and sales, to optimise workflow, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.

Role Responsibilities of Production Planner

Adhere to company SOPs, quality standards, and Health & Safety policies.

Manage works orders, ensuring accuracy and timely progression of route cards.

Prepare and analyse reports using Excel, including Pivot tables and formulas.

Organize meetings with stakeholders to review data for informed decision-making.

Collaborate with production, supply chain, and sales to align demand forecasting and production planning.

Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, and prevent stock shortages/excesses.

Develop and adjust production schedules based on capacity, resources, and demand.

Support purchasing, inventory management, and stock counts.

Oversee company van logistics and assist in monthly/quarterly stock checks.

Handle general administration and progress tracking.
Specification of a Production Planner
- Methodical in approach to workload/tasks, focused on planning stock and works orders on a day-to-day, week-to-week basis.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Strong IT skills (Excel including the use of formulas)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with a range of different stakeholders.
- Demonstrated good organisation and prioritization skills, with a good attention to detail.
