Due to growth, our client is looking for a sales manager to join the business in a newly created role. The business has 20 people working for it and operates within the commercial vehicle industry.
The purpose of the role is to sell the business product portfolio and service to new customers. You will be based in the Midlands and Nationwide travel will be required. To be successful in this position you will be a self-motivated and target-driven individual with proven sales experience. Along with a strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills, you will have the competitive desire and drive to succeed and gain results.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure sales and growth targets are achieved and exceeded.
- Maintain and develop strong customer relationships, ensuring customer enquiries are dealt with efficiently, and developing and maintaining effective relationships with key contacts for repeat business.
- Continued new business development with a strong focus on identifying new or potential customers.
- Increase and maintain awareness of market conditions and feedback on competitor activity.
- Ownership of individual customer planning and prospects
- Able to prepare and present sales presentations.
- Attend industry trade and exhibitions
- Work with the organisational team when planning customer sales.
Key Attributes
- Experience selling products or services in the commercial vehicle industry would be a distinct benefit.
- A proven track record in a sales position.
- IT Literate specifically in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full clean driving license, to attend customer sites as required
- Driven to provide a high level of customer service and build strong working relationships
- Preferable to have previous experience in maintaining a CRM system
