Job Description: Transport Site Manager
Location: Luton
Salary: Circa £35,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 15:00
Our client, based in the Luton area, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Site Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of a transport team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead a team of drivers, ensure compliance, and act as the primary point of contact for the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management and Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the schedules of drivers to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor and maintain team performance, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all drivers adhere to transport compliance regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and oversee audits to ensure operational excellence.
- Client Liaison:
- Act as the lead contact for the account, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Address client queries and issues promptly, ensuring their needs are met daily.
- Operational Oversight:
- Monitor site activities to ensure efficiency and address any operational challenges.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in transport management, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of transport compliance and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to foster positive client relationships.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
